MADDIE
♦ VISUAL: Maddie is a teenage girl, standing at 5'3". Bright red hair is kept in a bob style. Her bangs are unevenly trimmed, as if done by a blind person, and a black flower hairclip keeps them up on one side. Her eyes are gray and clouded - notably, they also never look directly at or focus on anything. Her fashion choices can be seen here. She is usually carrying a collapsible white cane - if not in use, then under an arm. She has a cat with her.
♦ AUDITORY: Maddie's voice is crystal clear and well-practiced. Words are clearly pronounced and doesn't use a lot of filler words. Still high pitched due to being a teenage girl, but her voice is perhaps a little deeper than other girls her age. If she's being joking or sarcastic, that usually shows in tone.
♦ PSYCHIC: Maddie's mind is open, untrained in resisting psychic or mind powers. Thoughts never include pictures or visual information. It's obvious that she is hiding a plethora of secrets from people, even in innocuous conversation. She doesn't harbor any ill-will towards anybody though, rather she has a lot of bad experiences at home and finds it hard to trust and open up. She harbors particular distrust toward adults - especially older ones. Young adults are on thin ice.
♦ MAGICAL: A frankly huge amount of magic for a human. It seems to be contained or sealed, however. If determining what type of magic it is - It would register as non-elemental to elemental categorization (or void, if that is one of the options for this elemental system.) D&D magic schools would register it as primarily transmutation (and hugely powerful), with minor illusion and abjuration. A more open, nuanced classification would register it as spatial-based magic, capable of reality alteration.
♦ MEDICAL: Completely blind, due to abnormal chromosomes leading to shrunken, unconnected optical nerves and severe cataracts. Past injuries include healed over ankles from twists and sprains, three round burn scars on her back (2 inch diameter, high penetration), and a rough 4-inch scar under her ribs from some kind of cut. The twists and sprains can be explained away by her being blind, but it's hard to imagine an accidental cause of the other injuries.
ZELNOTHOGLYS (CAT)
♦ VISUAL: Zel the cat is usually seen accompanying Maddie. In most cases, he appears as a normal house cat with fur in two shades of brown. Somehow, his expression seems serious, despite being a cat. His eyes take things in with more intelligence than a normal cat as well, if you're the type to pick up on that. However, he can also streeetch out super long, and when he does he gains extra sets of legs depending on how long he stretches out to. They don't seem tucked in or anything to suggest this extra mass and limbs even exist unless he stretches out though, even when picked up.
♦ AUDITORY: Zelnothoglys typically meows in a normal cat sound. Most of his meows are actually speech that can, magically, only be understood by Maddie. If he's not paying attention or if he chooses to, other people CAN hear him speak, and in those cases his voice is lower than expected, almost a baritone. A little dry sounding, a little stiff.
♦ PSYCHIC: Like staring into a thin veil, when on the other side of that veil are whispers of beings from beyond human comprehension, bubbling and roiling with the slightest piercing of that veil ready to spill over into the mortal world. Individual thoughts slide off like water droplets on a raincoat, unable to be grasped. A particularly diligent worker, braving the eldritch psyche and grasping at those slippery thoughts find them mostly mundane, and mostly focused on doing what is best for Maddie, who he views as something like a daughter.
♦ MAGICAL: Its true form is hard to grasp. However, to those magically inclined, it's not hard to notice the magic so much as it is hard to figure out what kind of magic it is. A concentrated effort might gleam something like a good amount of power of something from beyond this plane of existence, or possibly that the magic power is being contained in a vessel it wasn't created for. No affinities, for type or element or anything like that, can be found.
♦ MEDICAL: Bones, muscles, and nerves are all in places that don't quite make sense for a cat. It's the bodily equivalent to a house with doors with walls behind them, windows inside of the home, or stairs leading to nothing. A medical examination mostly shows that you're not sure how this body is supposed to be working. However, it is still flesh and bone and nerves and blood vessels, even if they don't make sense, so he can be injured.
BLACK WITCH
♦ VISUAL: Black Witch's age is hard to place, but clearly at least not fully an adult. She stands 5'3" and has bright red hair, kept in a neat bob. She is dressed in a frilly dress - mostly black, with gray as the accent and some white lace. A black cloth is wrapped around her eyes, blocking them from view completely. It's obvious from how she moves that she's blind, and she can't somehow magically see despite the blindfold. Despite these resemblances to Maddie the blind civilian girl, the magic of the transformation keeps the brain from automatically connecting the dots - however, it can be reasoned down to the truth by actually tallying the resemblances (thanks in part to how few people there are in the station, comparatively, especially who resemble Black Witch.)
♦ AUDITORY: Black Witch has a clear voice, and speaks with the tone of somebody who is confident and self-assured. It sounds business-like, for lack of a better term, even when cracking jokes.
♦ PSYCHIC: Like Maddie, Black Witch's mind isn't trained against psychic intrusion. Connecting Black Witch to Maddie is child's play if you can peer into her mind. Also that the giant monster with her, if he is, is Zel, her familiar the cat.
♦ MAGICAL: The same reading as Maddie normally, but now completely unsealed. A frankly huge amount of magic for a human.
♦ MEDICAL: Reading the same as Maddie's. However, thanks to magic, her body is incredibly fortified, able to hit, lift, and also take hits from giant monsters. Still reads as human, just magically-enhanced.
ZELNOTHOGLYS (THAUMIVORE)
♦ VISUAL: Zel the Thaumivore is clearly a monster... if you can even see him. Regular people will have their eyes kind of slide over him without really registering his presence, even if they know he's there. Nothing more than movements out of the corner of the eye. To those seeped in magic power, or those with magic eyes, he's a eyeless spider-mantis-hybrid creature about twelve feet long and eight feet tall. He has eight legs on his abdomen and a vague upward torso that has two spindly manipulator-legs and two large, scythe-like bladed arms. No real defined head, and no eyes. He's all white in color, but a slightly translucent white. Holes on his back are used to release threads that can float in the air until they attach to a surface. Overall, kind of horrifying.
♦ AUDITORY: Zelnothoglys sounds the same when he talks as a monster as he does when a cat. His voice is low, almost a baritone. A little dry sounding, a little stiff. It's easily recognizable as Zel if you've heard him speaking as a cat, but not if you've only heard meows.
♦ PSYCHIC: (Same as cat.) Like staring into a thin veil, when on the other side of that veil are whispers of beings from beyond human comprehension, bubbling and roiling with the slightest piercing of that veil ready to spill over into the mortal world.
♦ MAGICAL: (Same as cat.) Its true form is hard to grasp. However, to those magically inclined, it's not hard to notice the magic so much as it is hard to figure out what kind of magic it is. A concentrated effort might gleam something like a good amount of power of something from beyond this plane of existence. No affinities, for type or element or anything like that, can be found.
